The Nominating Committee of the Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council (ESCC) is currently seeking to fill positions on its Board of Directors in preparation for our Annual General Meeting to be held in April. Your work as a Board Member for ESCC will set the direction for the organization and inspire goals and priorities that address broad issues of the Edmonton and area senior-serving network. We are changemakers with the goal of supporting the diverse population of older adults in our community! If this sounds interesting and you support our organization's vision and mission (https://lnkd.in/gGKbYXhN ), we invite you to put your name forward as a candidate.

Please include a cover letter explaining your interest in our Board’s work and how you think you could contribute, along with a completed Nomination Form https://lnkd.in/gB_ZneGP

The skills and attributes that our Board as a collective would ideally have can be accessed through this link: https://lnkd.in/gbf_EJwf. We are particularly seeking people with an understanding of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion principles and practices. There are three categories that are open for candidates:
1) Senior-serving Organizations – registered and/or incorporated charities or not-for-profit organizations authorized to operate in Alberta that provide social and recreational programs and/or social support services for Edmonton’s aging population.
2) Supportive Organizations – organizations that have an interest in the delivery of services to seniors and do not meet the criteria of senior-serving organizations.
3) Members at Large - Individuals or honorary appointees that have an interest in the delivery of supports and services to seniors

Nomination Forms and cover letters can be submitted until March 10, 2023 to sheila@seniorscouncil.net . Those shortlisted will be contacted for an interview.
