Hello Seniors is an outreach services model designed to build resilience, foster understanding, and support older adults aged 55+ to identify and get help with their personal needs and goals. It emphasizes respect for diverse backgrounds and experiences, ensuring older adults feel seen, heard, and supported.
Our diverse team of Outreach and General Support Workers engage directly with older adults, providing assistance with navigating systems and filling out forms for pensions, government benefits, transportation, and housing, and connecting them to community resources and information that support educational and recreational opportunities, food access, and more.
To help older adults address more complex challenges—like mental health, addiction, elder abuse, housing concerns, and social isolation, our outreach team is able to provide referrals to professional service providers.
Our Program Values
Our model follows five key values: honouring Indigenous Peoples, anti-oppression, a commitment to social justice, culturally responsive programming, and a commitment to honour diversity.
To ensure these values underscore our service delivery, Hello Seniors brings together 12 organizations from across Edmonton, harnessing a diversity of approaches and perspectives to inform seniors supports.

Ultimately, the language, cultural, and gender diversity of our outreach staff means that services are accessible for underserved and equity-deserving communities in the city, including seniors who identify as 2SLGBTQ+, Indigenous, or newcomers to Canada.
