Volunteer Screening Policy & Procedures Workbook (Volunteer Alberta, 2017)
The Volunteer Screening Program (VSP) delivered by Volunteer Alberta supports non-profits in implementing effective volunteer screening practices in their organizations. The VSP provides training and resources, and eligible organizations can apply for financial support to help address costs associated with Vulnerable Sector Checks and development of effective screening practices.
Spotlight on Canadians: Results from the General Social Survey – Volunteering in Canada, 2004 to 2013 (Statistics Canada) outlines data such as motivations to volunteer, characteristics of volunteers such as age and education level, time commitment and types of duties performed. ESCC has prepared a brief summary of highlights that may be relevant for our member organizations.
