Volunteer with ESCC
ESCC is committed to collaborating with stakeholders to build an age-friendly Edmonton and support the well-being of seniors. If you have a passion to build networks, provide leadership, and communicate the value of organizations that support seniors, we hope you will join us.
Board of Directors
Serving on the ESCC Board of Directors is an opportunity to get involved in the broad issues of the seniors sector and to contribute to making Edmonton an age-friendly city.
Ideal candidates have previous experience with boards and committees. We would also like guidance in how services to diverse seniors could be enhanced in the sector, so we are seeking individual with knowledge or experience with diversity (relating to the Aboriginal community, the immigrant community, or the LGBTQ community).
We typically begin recruiting in February/March for positions that begin at our Annual General Meeting at the end of April. Our nominating committee will contact interested individuals and arrange a meeting to answer any questions they may have and to provide information about ESCC and our Board.
If you are interested in joining our Board of Directors, email our Executive Director at firstname.lastname@example.org
In our visual-driven world, photos are essential to illustrate the work organizations do. The Edmonton Seniors Coordinating council (ESCC) is seeking a volunteer photographer to take photos at ESCC events, meetings, forums, presentations, etc. The photos will be used on the ESCC website, annual report, and other promotional material.
Requirements: The volunteer must own a camera that can produce high-resolution (300 dpi) photographs.
Time commitment: The commitments occur primarily Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but 2-3 Saturdays are required over the course of a year.
If you’re interested, contact Janelle Beblow, ESCC Communications Coordinator, at 780-423-5635 ext. 1 or email@example.com.
