Thank you for your submissions. Deliberation on a final candidate is still ongoing and a final decision date will be March 1, 2024.
Depending on the mechanisms and tools the successful party decides to proceed with, our team will work collaboratively with you to deliver survey and interview questions. However, if your team believes you would like to work together on this to determine the best approach, we would welcome that approach. We are happy to deploy the surveys or interviews independently and report back with findings, or if it is beneficial for your team to participate in this process to see some of the responses directly, we can work with you that way as well. We are looking for what will be the most effective outcome for the project, so please put forward what you think will work best within the budget allocated and if successful, we will work together to bring it to life.
Our team will assist in the work with the partner organizations to gather participants for focus groups, however, one area where we often have challenges is identifying ways of engaging seniors who are not currently participating in seniors programming or services. For these individuals, we would appreciate any insight you may have on reaching and engaging target groups that otherwise may not be accessing service.
Our program operates with the value of “any door is the right door”. So whether a senior calls 211, or they connect with an organization directly they will receive service.
Our goal with this process is to promote Seniors Coordinated Outreach as a program primarily. Coming up with a naming and branding strategy that makes it a familiar program to seniors who may need the support.
211 will be one of the main calling avenues and should be promoted as one of the main mechanisms to access the program, but we would also like to promote that seniors can go directly to organizations themselves. This is because seniors have varied preferences when it comes to using 211, and while we want to promote the service and build trust in the support, we also don’t want to drive away any seniors who aren’t comfortable using 211 from reaching out for the support they need.
Our leadership committee consists of organizational leaders and staff from the 12 service provider organizations. They provide strategic insight into the program. How this committee is involved in the process of design, is up to the successful parties best understanding of what will produce a high-quality outcome for the program, but a final design will have to be approved by the Leadership Committee. Our team can work together with you to determine how to best communicate and execute that approach.
Our team primarily uses Canva, so having any design tools be Canva-friendly would be an asset. Social media templates, brochures, and posters would be useful, but we would recommend you outline what items you would design based on what you believe would best fit the budget and accomplish the best results as per the public education plans.
We would likely need assistance with conducting research and creating surveys to gather this information, as well as synthesizing this information (and perhaps asking for clarification/follow-up).
Through research and creation of surveys, we would be looking to the successful party to define what information needs to be collected and advise on preferred approaches. Our team would be willing to create and deliver engagement tools with the advice of the successful party.
We struggle to reach seniors who do not otherwise access any form of support. Advice on how to reach seniors who aren’t accessing support would be an area we are looking for assistance in.
Once this information is collected, we can work with you to synthesize and determine how to use this to proceed with design work. As this is an RFP, we are looking for the expertise of a contractor to determine how much engagement and what ways would be most effective for informing the work while staying within the budget.
Yes, this is correct. This stage of work is for the design of a strategy and branding for the program.
Based on funding, there may be future pieces of work under separate RFP and funding arrangements that would account for the execution of a developed strategy.
Please provide all submissions by 11:59 pm Mountain Time on February 7th.
Yes, we welcome all submissions regardless of the location of the applicant. However, a strong understanding of the program and its work, as well as how to reach seniors in the Edmonton context will be important factors in determining a successful party, so please consider the local context in your application.
This RFP is for design and development services for the design and implementation of a Training Framework including follow-up changes as required.
