Age Friendly Edmonton: Storytelling Lunch ‘n’ Learn
Join author and instructor Adele Fontaine in this free, storytelling workshop as she shares how writing is a great tool for expressing yourself. Adele will work with you to tell one of your own stories, It can be about family and family or anything that is special to you. Please decide what story you will share before the workshop. Jot down some notes and bring them with you. We will be telling our stories, not reading them. Remember stories need to have a beginning, a middle and an end. Keep your stories brief, so that everyone gets a chance to tell one!
Date: Wednesday, February 21, 2024
Time: Doors open at 11:45 pm and the workshop will begin promptly at 12Noon to 1 pm.
Place: Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre, 2nd Floor. Room # 258.
If you are driving: We recommend parking on the west side of the mall along 85 Street. Look for a blue awning that says “City of Edmonton”. There are doors to the right and stairs to take you to the second floor.
If you are taking Transit: Valley LRT line will bring you to Bonnie Doon Mall. The stairs and elevator to the second floor are located adjacent to the Bonnie Doon Bowling Lanes

About Adele:
Adele continues to thrive in her career as an ESL teacher and author of a book called, My Sundays with Normand. This year, she participated in the International Poetry Slam in Moncton, where she stood shoulder to shoulder with poets from around the French speaking world. For over a decade she was a member of TALES, where she told many tantalizing stories to audiences young and old. Since 2018, she has facilitated Connecting Through Writing, a workshop at Sage where participants write and share stories and memories. Discovering opportunities to help people write about their lives is one of her greatest joys.
