Caregivers in the Wild Screening

Caregivers in the Wild

Join us for a special screening of Caregivers in the Wild!
Caregivers in the Wild is a heartfelt series that follows real caregivers through the breathtaking wilderness of Canada as they share their personal journeys with caregiving.
At this screening, we will be showing two new episodes of Caregivers in the Wild:
– The Nature of Mindfulness (Sam’s Story) – “Since the age of nine, Sam has been caring for his father who was diagnosed with a rare form of schizophrenia. Together with psychologist and mindfulness teacher/researcher, Dr. Linda Carlson, Sam goes backpacking near the arctic circle and learns how practicing mindfulness can help strengthen the resilience of young caregivers.”
– The Nature of Hope (Lynne’s Story) – “After suffering a stroke, Lynne’s husband was diagnosed with dementia, and she watched his health decline quickly. As she hikes through the vast wilderness of the Yukon with psychologist and mindfulness teacher/researcher, Dr. Linda Carlson, Lynne explores what it means to have hope when caring for a loved-one with dementia.”
Following the conclusion of the screenings, we will have a short Q&A session with the creator of Caregivers in the Wild, Dr. Mike Lang.
We invite you to join us as we watch, connect, and reflect on the incredible resilience of caregivers!
