Get free referrals to reputable service providers for hire who can do work around your home.

If you are a senior looking for reputable contractors to provide snow removal, yard help, housekeeping, home repair and maintenance, personal services, and moving help we can provide referrals to screened service providers in all areas of Edmonton.

The Seniors Home Supports Program is a referral service that gives Edmonton seniors referrals to screened service providers who offer snow removal, yard help, housekeeping, home repair and maintenance, personal services, and moving help.

Those involved in the program recruit and screen service providers to ensure they are reputable. They then refer service providers to seniors who request services.

Referral Process

  • When an older adult contacts a partner agency in Seniors Coordinated Outreach or dials 211 (call 211 and press 2 for the Seniors Information Phone Line), they are given at least three referrals to service providers.
  • Please remember to let the service provider know that you were referred by the Seniors Home Supports Program when you reach out to them. This ensures that you get the best rates.
  • Older adults contact the service providers to discuss the work they need done and the costs. The older adult can then select a service provider that fits their needs and budget.
  • Older adults are not charged for the referral, but they will pay a fee to the service provider for completing the work.
  • Older adults might receive calls for post-service survey from partner agencies.
